At Y factor, our mission is to create a transparent, respectful, and trustworthy community where people can make meaningful connections for private sperm donation. To protect that environment, we rely on both our Community Guidelines and the active participation of our members.

One of the ways you help us uphold these standards is by reporting users when their behaviour doesn’t align with our values. You read about how to report someone here. But what actually happens when you report a user? And when is it appropriate to do so? Let’s break it down.

When Can You Report a User?

You should report a user any time you witness or experience behaviour that violates our Community Guidelines. We’ve listed some examples below, but encourage you to send a report directly if you ever feel unsafe, disrespected or pressured in any way, or if you suspect a user is breaking any of the other guidelines.

  • Disrespectful or Harassing Behaviour

Insults, threats, emotional manipulation, bullying, or repeated unwanted contact are not tolerated.

  • Boundary Violations Around Donation Methods

Every member must respect another’s chosen method of donation. Coercion or pressure into sexual activities is strictly prohibited.

  • Inappropriate Content

Vulgar, offensive, discriminatory or adult content that goes beyond the respectful scope of our platform.

  • Dishonesty and Misrepresentation

Fake identities, misleading information about one’s background, or falsifying details like age or number of children conceived.

  • Misinformation

Sharing false or misleading claims about fertility, reproductive health, or medical procedures.

Do Reports Stay Anonymous?

Yes. Your safety and privacy are our top priority, and your identity is never shared with the person you’re reporting.

What Happens After You Report Someone

When you report a user, here’s how the process works:

  1. Review by Moderators

Your report is reviewed and investigated by our team.

  2. Assessment Against Guidelines

We check whether the behaviour in question violates our Community Guidelines.

  3. Appropriate Action

Depending on the severity of the violation, we may:

    • Remove specific content.

    • Issue a warning.

    • Suspend the user temporarily.

    • Permanently ban the user.

Due to privacy reasons, we will not be able to update you on the status of the report, but we may reach out to you and ask for additional information if needed.

Accountability Beyond the Platform

If a member’s off-platform actions endanger or harm others, their Y factor account may also be suspended or banned. We take your safety seriously, no matter where the interaction takes place.

If the action you are reporting is illegal, we strongly recommend that you also contact your local police.

Your Role in Keeping Y factor Safe

By reporting harmful behaviour, you help keep Y factor a respectful, supportive space for everyone. We count on our members to uphold the Community Guidelines and to look out for one another.

Together, we can ensure that Y factor remains a place where meaningful, respectful and positive connections thrive.
