1. Create a Profile

Start by setting up a detailed profile that represents you and your wishes, including donation preferences, post-donation commitment wishes, and your wishes for financial compensation for the donation. You will be matched based on your preferences. This creates transparency for all parties.

2. Verified Profiles

Users can choose to verify through an external ID check provider. All users who have chosen to go through verification will get a badge on their profile. We strongly encourage everyone to go through the verification process as this ensures the best quality profiles on our platform.

3. Search with Advanced Filters

Find the right match by exploring profiles that fit your preferences. In Y factor you cannot only search by age and location, but also profile verification, donation preferences, and preferred donation method.

4. Create a Shortlist with “Favourites”

Save your favourite profiles in a shortlist without them being notified.

5. Like and Match

Show interest in profiles by liking them. The person who you have liked will receive a notification. When someone you’ve liked returns the interest, it’s a match!

6. Chat and Get to Know Each Other

7. Reporting

We have an in-app reporting functionality, where donors and future mothers can report suspicious or bad behaviour. We ask all members of our community to act according to our community guidelines. Based on these, we can remove profiles that have unacceptable behaviour or that don’t represent themselves truthfully.
